The V1 is our best-selling electric scooter for adults because it covers the most common ride: a few miles each way on city streets. Riders who want more comfort step up to the V1 PRO with dual suspension; riders with longer or hillier routes check the 500W motor models, the V1S PRO and V1 MAX, which add 10-inch tires and up to 28 miles. What makes the MAXSHOT V1 electric scooter our everyday commuter

The V1 was the first scooter we built and it is still the one most riders choose. A 350W brushless hub motor in the front wheel gives smooth acceleration to 19 mph, the 36V lithium battery is good for up to 21 miles, and the aluminum frame weighs 31 lb. It folds in about three seconds — one latch, stem down, hook to the rear fender — and carries by the stem.

We left suspension off the V1 on purpose. It keeps the frame light and the price low, and the 8.5-inch honeycomb tires absorb small bumps on their own. If your route is mostly smooth asphalt and painted bike lane, the V1 is all the scooter you need.

Six V1 colorways, one set of specs

Black with red rims, gray with orange accents, a quiet gray, red/gray, white, and the Orange Edition. Underneath, the motor, battery and brakes are the same. Choose the color you will be happy to see in the hallway every morning; the ride will be identical.

Every V1 pairs with the MAXSHOT app for cruise control, speed limits and a remote lock, and every V1 runs dual braking — an EABS electronic brake and a drum brake.
