Light does not mean small: every V7 and the S78 carries adults up to 256 to 265 lb. The 350W motor gives 16 to 19 mph and the solid 8.5-inch tires roll on without air. What you give up against the V1 PRO and the 500W motor models is dual suspension and some miles of range; what you gain is a scooter you can lift with one hand.

Check your route: if it includes long climbs or more than 10 miles each way, explore the V1 MAX or V1S PRO with their high-capacity batteries and 10-inch tires. For the train, the stairs and the campus, the latest V7 is covered.

The lightest MAXSHOT scooters to carry

If your scooter rides the train, climbs stairs or lives in a small apartment, weight comes first. The V7 is 26 lb — light enough to carry folded with one hand for a block — and still has a 350W brushless motor and dual braking. The S78 folds to 42.1 × 20.5 × 16.9 inches and is built to ride through light rain.

Both run 8.5-inch solid tires, so there is no pump to keep by the door.

Four V7 versions and the S78

The V7 comes as a 19 mph version with about 16 miles of range, a 16 mph youth setup with a 12 mile pack and a 3–4 hour charge, a black/orange version that works with the TUYA Smart app, and a red/gray version with our dual-lock folding joint. The S78 adds a sun-readable LCD and firmware updates from the app.
